Taiwan Cafe
About This Spot
Stepping into Taiwan Cafe, you’re greeted by the relaxed rhythm of a bustling neighborhood spot where the focus rests on simple pleasures and hearty, familiar flavors. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming, the kind of place where locals return regularly for generous portions that feel like a warm embrace at the end of a busy day. There’s a streaming sense of easygoing comfort here, with the hum of conversation and the clatter of dishes forming a backdrop to a genuinely homey experience.
This casual Taiwanese eatery is less about fuss and flair and more about grounding yourself in honest, satisfying food that fills both belly and spirit. It invites you to settle in and savor dishes that offer a glimpse into traditional tastes — from savory, comforting bowls of congee to the crisp, layered textures of scallion pancakes paired with a perfectly sweetened pearl milk tea. The portions here speak to a sense of generosity, allowing you to linger over a meal without worrying about being skimpy on quantity, making it a spot where sharing and returning for seconds almost feels expected.
There’s a familiar loop to the experience, almost like visiting a favorite school cafeteria where the daily soup changes, and the variety encourages you to try something new each time while sticking to beloved staples. You’ll notice the friendly hustle behind the glass counter, where each dish is ready to be enjoyed immediately, paired naturally with an ice-cold boba tea or a refreshing mango slush to balance out the flavors.
While the space itself keeps things straightforward, the mood is quietly comforting, offering a sense of rhythmic routine and honest hospitality. It’s a place that invites low-key moments — grabbing a quick lunch with friends, a laid-back dinner with family, or a casual catch-up over a bowl of steaming dumplings and a cup of Thai tea. Taiwan Cafe feels like an unspoken promise of good food and generous servings in a no-fuss setting, where the shared human moments around the table quietly shine.

The food here gives me the feeling of eating at a college cafeteria. They are super generous on the food so the portion you get is huge. If you dine in, there is also soup you can get it yourself. I think the soup changes daily because I have been here two times and already tasted two different types of soups. So many different dishes to choose from. One thing to note that this place is cash only. The place is big with lots of tables and seating areas. Very fast service as well.

What can I say other than go here and get some great food. You get ALOT of food for the price you pay (cash only). We had to get to go boxes and it looked like we barely touched our food. That's how much food it was for each dish!

Large portions for a value price!! Great food and a variety of drinks. There's a $10 deal for 3 choices of entrees and 2 scoops of rice. Note that they only accept cash.

This is a simple restaurant with decent food that is pre-made. You walk up and see the food behind the glass and they put the food on a platter. There are several types of meat and vegetable options. We ordered some greens, broccoli, eggplant, different styles of pork, and a tofu item... and of course rice. The platter is a great deal for the price. The taste is decent. We also got boba tea, but it was already sealed and refrigerated. It's not made to order. There is a complimentary seaweed soup you can scoop for yourself after you order. This is a CASH ONLY place.

I always have an amazing dining experience at Taiwan Cafe, I go twice a month! The tomato eggs are my favorite and they were perfectly seasoned, with a balance of sweetness and savory flavors that made each bite comforting and satisfying. The fiery fish was a standout dish—spicy, bold, and packed with flavor that left me craving more. The variety of dishes offered all had their own unique twists, showcasing authentic Taiwanese flavors. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, flavorful Taiwanese cuisine!

This is a cash only restaurant. We came here for the breakfast, which is Saturdays and Sundays only from 11 to 2pm. We got the Scallion pancake with egg, 2 Salty rice roll, Salty soy milk, Sweet soy milk and a Baked pocket with beef. My favorite item was definitely the salty rice roll, followed the the sweet soy milk and then the scallion pancake with egg. I thought the food was kind of salty, so the soy milks were necessary. Very traditional Taiwanese styled breakfast.

I was amazed that you can enjoy food this good at such a reasonable price! You can pick three main dishes with the “Pick 3” option. I chose stir-fried beef with asparagus, tofu in mala sauce, and fried chicken. All three were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The flavors reminded me of what I’ve had in Taiwan. The fried chicken was quite similar to Taiwanese “Ji Pai.” Soup is self-serve and has an anchovy broth base. The black bean noodles have a strong fermented soybean flavor — more like the Chinese-style Zhajiangmian rather than the Korean version, with plenty of meat and vegetables. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of tables and chairs available.
